Coenzyme Q10, also known as ubiquinone, is found in the mitochondria, and it is essential for energy production. Coenzyme Q10 is also an antioxidant that helps to prevent damage to cell membranes. CoQ10 is found in most body tissues, the highest amounts are found in the heart, liver, kidneys, and pancreas.
